Pricing
Prices include V.A.T. (Value Added Tax) at the standard UK rate at the time of dispatch, currently 15%, prices are subject to change without notice.
While we do our best to ensure prices are up to date and correct errors may occur and in this case you will be contacted before your order is shipped.
Delivery
We use Local and national pallet distribution companies for our deliveries. These use tail lift trucks to offload up to 1 tonne pallets, usually the companies will try there hardest to get the pallets where you require them, however due to the weight of the items and strict health and safety regulations this is not always possible. Please think carefully about where you want the pallets before you buy and the feasibility of getting them to that location. We cannot accept responsibility for the exact positioning of the pallets. The delivery service is provided to only give carriage to your address. Although most delivery companies will help you as best they can they cannot breech their rules for safety in order to satisfy your positioning requirements.
Your Signature is required on the couriers Documentation. This is why we ask you for an ideal delivery date for yourselves so you can arrange a time to receive the goods. If you cannot be in any working day for delivery then we ask that a neighbour be asked to sign for the goods. Again if this is not possible, we then will ask you to return a form by email or fax in which you accept liability for the goods left on your premises without proof of delivery. The driver will then sign the delivery note to say the item has been delivered and will post a copy through your letterbox.
Due to the size and weight of the products that the courier service are delivering, once a date has been set and the courier has contacted you with an estimated time of delivery you must ensure that you are at the delivery destination to receive the goods. If you are not at the delivery destination for any reason you will be charged an extra cost to have the material re-delivered. If you do not wish to incur this extra cost (which is normally the same cost as the original delivery cost paid), the only other option is to have the material returned and you will be refunded the full amount less the cost of delivery and the cost of returning the pallet.
If a pallet has to be returned to us due to problems with access or the nature of the delivery point we can not refund the cost of the attempted delivery or the cost of returning the pallet to ourselves. It is important you consider every aspect of the delivery point including are there any steep gradients, soft surfaces, parking restrictions etc as all these elements could stop a delivery from being successful.
Returns
Portaway Minerals (Elton) Ltd conform to the Distance Selling Regulations, which are designed to protect you when buying items by Mail Order. We offer a flexible returns policy and are happy to accept items back for a refund or exchange if you’ve ordered the wrong things, the items are incorrect or we have made a mistake in weights, product, size etc.
New items returned because we have sent you the wrong item
In this case If you receipt does not match the item you received we will arrange and pay for the collection of the item at minimal disruption to you, although we do require to be informed of the mistake within 7 working days of you receiving the goods. Goods must be in original packing and in the condition which they were delivered.
New items returned because you have ordered the wrong item or dislike the product
We will happily take back items that you have wrongly ordered or that you have received and don’t like. Again we need to be notified within seven working days of delivering the goods. We will then contact you and arrange to have the item(s) picked up. Unfortunately due to the size of the items we sell we will require you to pay for the collection from your premises. Please note that similarly we cannot provide refunds in respect of the initial delivery costs.
If you want to return the items yourself in a van, lorry etc at your own cost and risk this is perfectly acceptable, although you will be responsible for any damage caused or loss in transit.
Payment
Portaway Minerals (Elton) Ltd accept most major credit cards for online orders. You will be asked to enter your card details and the name and the address of the card holder when you place the order. These details will be checked and we may hold an order until we receive the correct details. You will be contacted if we find the card or address details to be incorrect. We only bill your card when your order is ready to be dispatched. At this point your order will be deemed to have been accepted.
For offline orders Portaway Minerals (Elton) Ltd accept (£) Sterling Postal Orders, Personal Cheques, (£) Sterling Bank Drafts and (£) Sterling Bank Transfers. We recommend that you do not send cash through the post. Please send any written orders to:

Privacy Policy
Portaway Minerals (Elton) Ltd are committed to protecting your privacy. When you make an online order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, credit card billing address, delivery address, credit or debit card number and associated details. This allows us to process and fulfill your orders and to notify you about your order status by return email. We will also require a land line telephone number in case we need to contact you this number may be given to our couriers in order to help with the delivery of your goods. You have trusted us by giving us these details and Portaway Minerals promise not to use these details for any other reason other than processing your order or informing you about the products and services of Portaway Minerals. We will not pass any of your details on to any other third parties for profit or otherwise.
Product Availability
Portaway Minerals updates the availability of the entire stock list on a daily basis. Items that are 'Out Of Stock' will be displayed as such. In the rare event of a problem with availability of a product marked 'In Stock', we will contact you. You may then wish to cancel the order or wait until the item becomes available.
Out of Stock Orders
There are times when items become temporarily 'Out Of Stock', and these items are marked as such in the website. If you order an 'Out Of Stock' product, we will send out the order to you as soon as the product becomes available again. If we cannot source the item we will contact you to inform you. Your credit card will not be debited until we dispatch the product.
Accuracy of information
We put a lot of time and effort into describing and photographing the products we sell. We also use our own descriptions of the products. Although we aim that every picture and description is 100% accurate, mistakes do occur so let us know if you see or read something that isn’t correct. If you have purchased something based on a picture or description on the website which turns out to be incorrect we will be happy to replace or offer a refund on the product provided that it is unused.
Changes
If we decide to change our Terms and Conditions, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it.
Site Usage
Portaway Minerals (Elton) Ltd disclaims damages of any kind, compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties implied or otherwise relating to use of this site.
Contract
By agreeing to purchase online you are entering a legally binding contract.
The contract being governed by UK law.
